Privacy Policy
Last updated 6 October 2026
This policy explains what Viraamo collects, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, optional phone number and profile text.
- Bookings, messages with hosts, reviews, wishlists and support requests.
- Payment records from our payment partner (we never receive full card numbers).
- Technical data: IP address and device type for security, fraud prevention and error diagnosis.
How we use it
To run bookings and payments, let guests and hosts communicate, send booking and account emails, keep the platform safe, and meet tax and legal obligations. We don’t sell personal data.
Anonymous site diagnostics
We aggregate loading, interaction and scrolling timings, broad page types, device categories and counts of selected features to find improvements. These observations contain no account IDs, complete URLs, search text or session recordings. Aggregates expire after 30 days. Turn diagnostics off in Cookie settings; we also honour your browser’s Do Not Track setting. This monitor sends no observations to an external AI service.
Who we share it with
- Your host (for a booking): the guest name, phone and booking details they need to receive you.
- Service providers who process data for us: payments (Razorpay), hosting and database (DigitalOcean), email delivery and error monitoring.
- Authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is open. When you delete your account we remove your profile, sign-ins and wishlists; booking and payment records are retained only as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your choices
You can view and correct your details in Account settings, sign out other devices, and delete your account. For any other request, contact us.
